AquaFrame: The installation process can be simplified by using the AquaFrame, please refer to information regarding this option.
Our AQUASWIM' N'SPAS are very easy to install. The pool arrives preassembled (including the swimjets and other inlet and outlets) on a truck and can be easily placed and supported per instructions outlined in this document. The Powerpak is preinstalled on a fiberglass shell and basically needs a power connectiont. Other work involves PVC pipe connection between the pool and the Powerpak. The swimjets use 4" PVC piping and the filtration system uses 2" PVC piping. Most if not all of the information which you may need are contain in the following paragraphs. Please read the complete material and send us an email regarding any additional questions which you may have.
1. AQUASWIM'N'SPAS UNIT SUPPORT INSTRUCTIONS
All spas should be installed on top of a 3 to 4 inch
vermiculite or concrete pad. This pad should be at least the same size as the
pool/spa that is being installed, i.e.: for an ASJ-SS-14 the pad should be 8'x
14'.
Shoveling about 1/2" of sand on top of the concrete slab will make positioning and leveling much easier.

All swim spas must be supported with concrete blocks under
all horizontal surfaces including swimjet manifold assemblies (as shown).

All AQUASWIM'N'SPAS installed above ground or partial
inground must be supported from under the wall stiffener with 4" x 4"s
along each side (as shown).

For inground installation backfill by washing sand into
all spaces around the unit. Add water to both sections of the unit before
washing sand. To prevent flotation during backfilling, water level in swimming
and spa compartments must be higher than the sand during the backfilling
operation. After the backfilling has been completed, the unit may be drained for
cleaning or maintenance if the ground water table is lower than the bottom of
the swimming compartment. NOTE: All lumber has to be treated, as required in the
(UBC)-1997.
Pressure test the plumbing
system prior to completion of backfilling operation. To pressure test, run the
unit for at least 2 hours on high speed. If no leaks are detected complete
backfilling around the exposed plumbing.
All preplumbed AQUASWIM'N'SPAS
are supplied with 25' of air tubing per air button. Plug the air tubing in the
back of the air button located on the AQUASWIM'N'SPA console then plug the other
end of the air tubing into the matching receptacle on the power pack.
Units with lights installed must
have the light cord to the control box encased in conduit that is at least
10" above the water level of the spa.
2.
MATERIAL
Your AQUASWIM'N'SPA is
manufactured of durable, reliable, thermoplastic; reinforced with tough,
heavy-duty fibreglass. This thermoplastic has exceptional impact strength
with superior resistance to the effects to sunlight, chemicals, and weathering.
This same material is utilized in many other outdoor, maintenance-free
products.
3.
CARE
Your AQUASWIM'N'SPA"A has
an attractive, durable finish that stays virtually carefree. Most liquid shelf
cleaners can be used to wipe scum, oil, and stains off the surface. Cleaners
should be biodegradable, phosphate-free and neutral P.H.
DO
NOT USE ABRASIVE PRODUCTS!
4.
MAINTENANCE
Chemical maintenance is
practically the same as for a pool or spa. Chlorine or Bromine can be used to
sanitize the water. CONSULT YOUR LOCAL
POOL SERVICE COMPANY FOR PROPER MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES AND CHEMICAL TREATMENT IN
YOUR AREA. Chemical treatment alone will not produce sanitary water. The
filtration system, in proper operational condition, is required to attain
sparkling clear, polished, sanitary water. Freechlorine level should be
maintained between 1.0 and 1.5 PPM. PH level should be maintained at levels
between 7.2 and 7.8. Low pH levels cause eye discomfort and corrosion of heater
elements and metal parts. High pH levels cause cloudy water, scale formation,
and eye discomfort.
AVOID
EXTREME CHEMICAL IMBALANCES!
5.
FILTER
Filter elements should be
cleaned periodically, when using cartridge filters. For other filter
maintenance, consult installer for proper cleaning procedures. Dirty filters
will cause pump to work inefficiently under increased pressures; thus not
cleaning water for polished, sparkling clarity. Empty skimmer and pump strainer
baskets periodically.
6.
AQUAPOWERPAK
Push-button air switches
in the console cover control your equipment. Your AQUASWIM'N'SPA
Equipment Pak consists of a combination pump/filter/heater unit. With two
speeds it provides a maintenance cycle and on high speed, is the therapeutic Spa
cycle. This pak is also equipped with a 4-HP. SwimJet pump to supply
enough water flow to swim against. The pump/filter combination functions as a
filtration unit for both the spa side and the poolside of the AQUASWIM'N'SPA
on the low speed cycle of the pump. A swim-area valve is located at
the pump. This valve directs filtered water to the pool or spa. The pool
maintenance cycle is designed to overflow water from spa to pool. This overflow
feature is designed into the swim area valve, introducing filtered water at all
times, into the spa when the valve positioned on either "spa" or
"swim" cycle. The maintenance/heating cycle is controlled by a time
clock located in the control box. This may be set for proper maintenance and
desired heating schedules.
1.
Do not stand in front of SwimJets when initiating jet-pump.
2.
Directing the SwimJets up and down or side to side controls water flow
(current).
3.
Air may be introduced into jet flow by individual air controls at the
console.
4.
Always enter and exit the AQUASWIM'N'SPA
slowly and cautiously.
5.
Unsupervised use by children is prohibited.
6.
Do not use spa alone.
7.
Basic lifesaving equipment should be on hand at all times.
8.
For commercial installations, consult manufacturer prior to purchase.
9.
Do not empty the water from the AQUASWIM'N'SPA
without consulting your installer ground water pressure may cause the unit
to float.
10.
In climates subject to freeze consult your installer for proper
winterizing procedures.
